Thanks for your interest in learning more about the author of this site. My name is Tony and I live in Toronto with my beautiful Canadian wife (Jessica, who will be contributing to this blog periodically).

Despite its title and tagline, I don’t consider this blog to be in the self-help category, for the simple reason that self-help blogs are often full of gibberish. I’m a rational atheist and I always prefer to take a scientific and logical approach to understanding myself, society and life.

This blog is therefore a way for me to express my ideas, thoughts and practical tips about smart, modern living. It’s important to understand that I don’t expect to teach you how to live your life. That’s a continual learning process which is strongly based on one’s individual experience and personality. I’d rather share my findings and opinions in the hope that they might be thought-provoking or useful to my readers as well.
